We hope you and your family are in good health and staying safe. Our salon has been closed in accordance with Georgia Kemp's Statewide Executive Order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this shutdown, we have been taking the necessary steps to prepare for a safe environment and experience for our clients. This includes obtaining a Barbicide COVID-19 and Milady Infectious Control certifications, securing required PPE and following disinfection protocols as outlined.
We have implemented the necessary safety guidelines outlined by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetologists and Barbers for a safe reopening. Click here to read the full guidelines.  
In doing so, here is what you can expect and also ways you can help us keep a healthy and safe environment when the salon reopens:

SALON REOPEN DATE: JUNE 2

Platinum Salon will officially reopen Tuesday, June 2, 2020. We are currently only accepting online appointments. No same-day or walk-in appointments will be allowed. Please plan accordingly.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

As you prepare for your appointment, please keep in mind that there are new policy changes that have gone into effect in order to maintain a safe environment. They are as follows:

  • No guests are allowed to accompany you. If you are unable to come alone, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.

  • No food allowed in the salon unless for medical reasons. Water in a bottle or container is permitted.

  • A facemask must be worn in order to enter the salon building. If you do not have a mask, contact Merlande ahead of time so one can be provided.

  • Please refrain from cell phone usage and phone calls in the salon unless it is an emergency. Use earbuds to talk on the phone.

  • Accepted forms of payments will be debit, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Wallet. No cash or check payments will be accepted until further notice. This ensures we maintain a contactless checkout process.

  • No-show and cancellation policies still apply. To cancel or reschedule, a 24-hour notice must be given. If you wake up the morning of your appointment feeling ill, stay home and take care of yourself! Call or text Merlande to reschedule your appointment.

Once in the suite, you will be asked to wash your hands for 20 seconds prior to sitting in the styling chair. Your mask must stay on for the duration of the appointment.

Once in the styling chair we ask that you refrain from using your cell phone unless it is for an emergency.

Upon arrival to the salon, text Merlande at (770) 771-1981 to let her know you have arrived. You will be required to wait in your car until Merlande is ready to start your service. Merlande will call or text you once she is ready. You will be asked to meet her at the salon building entrance. Remember to put on your mask before exiting your vehicle unless a prior arrangement has been made with Merlande to pick one up onsite.

Merlande will greet you at the building entrance where she will conduct the mandatory temperature check and questionnaire. If she determines that you are displaying signs of COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, coughing, shortness of breath, or other respiratory symptoms -- she will require the appointment to be rescheduled.

At the end of your service, we will total your service and provide you with contactless pay options. No cash or checks will be accepted until further notice.
